How to Play Texas Hold Em Poker

The rules for the game are as follows:

• The first step is called posting. in this step, all the players will place blinds and antes depending upon the limit and the betting structure that is agreed upon before the game.
• Once the dealer shuffles the cards (Standard 52 playing cards), he deals each of the player's two cards that are facing down. These cards are known as your pocket cards.
• Next up is the pre-flop round. in this round, betting commences starting with the player sitting on the left of the blinds and just as in poker, all players can call, raise or fold. After this, the dealer discards the top card of the deck. This is done in an effort to curb cheating.
• Now, the dealer places three cards face up on the table. The players can now choose any of these cards in combination with their own cards to make a proper poker hand, after which the player to the left of the dealer starts another betting round. This is known as the flop.
• The dealer then burns another card off the top of the deck and then flips another communal card on the table. This step is known as the turn.
• Another betting round commences, starting with the person to the left of the dealer. Sometimes, in some games, this is the part of game where the sizes of the bets begin to double. After this the dealer burns another card and places a final card on the top of the table, which is known as the river. The players can now use any of the three cards on the table or the two cards in their pocket to make a poker hand.
• A final round of betting begins starting with the player sitting to the left of the dealer. Then comes the Showdown. Beginning with the players sitting to the left of the last player to call, all the players who have not folded reveal their cards. The players are then supposed to form the best combination of 5 cards to form a hand. The player with the best hand wins. in case of a tie, the pot is split in half.
